Davit Arms Inspection, Testing & Maintenance

The testing of davit systems is essential to ensure their continued safe use. Davit arms should be tested twice annually to ensure they are compliant & safe to use.

We ensure that Davit arms are tested and inspected following BS EN 795, BS 7883 2019, BS 8610: 2017 & LOLER guidelines.

Davit systems are used where there is a requirement to suspend a load over a roof edge, parapet or glazing system. The majority of applications which we encounter are for the suspension of personnel in the form of either an abseil or cradle systems.

Due to the load in which Davit Arms can support, it is required to have them test & inspected regularly.

Our engineers are approved and experienced and familiar with the full range of the products and manufacturers found in the UK, including MSA Latchways and mansafe systems, so you can rely on Altus Safety to ensure that all equipment is fully compliant and ready to use next time it’s needed.
