Height Safety Equipment Inspection, Testing & Maintenance

We can check a full range of fall protection equipment, including safety harnesses, safety lines, man anchor devices, and more. If you have work equipment at your site designed to prevent personal injury and falls from height, then these systems and height safety equipment must be tested in regular intervals of 6-12 months by a competent person in order to protect your workers.

Our team of testing professionals will use specialist equipment that is calibrated to ensure that you maintain compliance with all relevant standards and regulations. You should have your working at height assets inspected prior to its next due date. This will vary depending on the system and its use.

For example, fall protection systems such as single point anchors and mansafe systems used for window cleaning or other high risk tasks will need inspection every 6 months. Edge protection equipment such as fixed guardrails requires less regular inspection - typically every 12 months. Once the site visit is complete we will ensure all fall arrest systems are tagged and dated clearly, and we will provide certificates as well as any reports and images required to complete the fall protection inspection. Altus Safety Protection

If any repairs or improvements are needed to your equipment, including mansafe systems, we will provide you with a clear, easy to understand, detailed report and estimate after our visit.

Should a minor repair be needed that our engineers are able to complete in the same visit, our team will contact you to agree to the works whilst we are still on site, protecting you from expensive additional visits and ensuring your system is ready for use much sooner.

It's important to have your own inspection regimes on site. Before any fall protection system is used, you should instill in all your workers the importance of checking the system. This should be done before and after every use.
Some key things to look out for include:

- obvious signs of damage
- vandalism
